Abstract

Abstract: Reading comprehension is fundamental and important in the learning process. Many factors hinder children from reading comprehension, such as boredom when learning classes with conventional methods. Scramble is a board game that can be used as a learning medium by the way students are given a reading and questions that can be answered on the board with varying scores according to the letter used. The study uses the method of research and development and research tools of a questionnaire with a sample of the third-grade student population at SD Negeri Babarsari. Research results from a questionnaire show that the scramble method has a considerable impact on the ability to reading comprehension at 71.7 percent.

Abstrak: Membaca pemahaman merupakan hal yang fundamental dan penting dalam proses belajar mengajar. Banyak faktor yang menghambat anak dalam menguasai membaca pemahaman salah satunya adalah kebosanan saat proses belajar mengajar dalam kelas dengan metode konvensional. Scramble adalah permainan papan yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dengan cara siswa diberikan bacaan serta pertanyaan yang dapat dijawab di papan dengan skor yang bervariasi sesuai huruf yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan sampel populasi siswa kelas III SD Negeri Babarsari. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa metode Scramble berpengaruh cukup baik untuk membantu kemampuan membaca pemahaman yaitu pada angka 71,7 persen.
